Terms of service.

At Altura Travel Co., we pride ourselves on providing professional, thoughtful, and honest service to create and facilitate memorable travel experiences for our clients. Your partnership in the process is important. To that end, please review and acknowledge our terms and conditions (the “Agreement”). The terms “I,” “me,” and “my” refer to the individual who signs this agreement.

Services include: consultation time, destination knowledge and advice, custom itinerary creation, recommending accommodations and experiences, booking travel arrangements, access to exclusive preferred partner benefits where applicable, preparing and sending final itinerary and travel documents, in-travel contact and support, and guidance on important elements such as entry requirements.

I understand that Altura Travel Co. is not the source or supplier of the travel services I have requested and acts solely as an agent for the suppliers of travel services, including but not limited to: airlines, hotels, transport companies, cruise lines, car rental agencies, and tour operators. I consent to and request the use of those suppliers and agree not to hold Altura Travel Co. responsible should any of these suppliers: (1) fail to provide the travel services I have purchased; (2) fail to comply with any applicable law; or (3) engage in any negligent act or omission that causes me any sort of injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience.

I have received or will receive a summary of charges for the travel services, and I agree that the obligation of Altura Travel Co. is limited to remitting such charges to the travel suppliers identified in the travel documents or to a third party that shall make such remittance.

Separate supplier terms and conditions will apply to the reservation and purchase of travel-related goods and services. I agree to abide by the terms and conditions of purchase imposed by Altura Travel Co. and any supplier, including but not limited to, payment of all amounts when due and compliance with the supplier’s rules and restrictions regarding availability and use of fares, products, or services. I understand that any violation of any such supplier’s conditions of purchase may result in cancellation of my reservation(s) or purchase, denial of access to flights, hotels, cruises, or automobiles, forfeiture of monies paid, and Altura Travel Co. debiting my account for any costs incurred due to such violation. I shall be completely responsible for all charges, fees, duties, taxes, and assessments arising out of my travel bookings through Altura Travel Co.

Any fees paid directly to Altura Travel Co. for planning and booking my travel arrangements do not guarantee the quality or timing of travel services. I acknowledge that Altura Travel Co. is not responsible for, nor will I attempt to hold it liable for, any injury, damage, or loss I may suffer on account of any conditions, actions, or omissions beyond its reasonable control.

I understand that currency exchange rates fluctuate. Prices are subject to change based on such fluctuations.

I acknowledge that travel may involve various risks to health and safety, including but not limited to illness, crime, and terrorism. I assume the risk of all inherent dangers, whether known or unknown, associated with the travel services.

Altura Travel Co. shall not be held liable for costs, damages, or losses that may result from travel. To assist me in making an informed decision about my destination, I should refer to objective and reputable sources such as the U.S. Department of State (travel.state.gov).

For international travel, a valid passport is required and should be valid for at least six months beyond my scheduled return date. I understand that a visa and/or blank passport pages may be required depending on my destination and nationality. I agree that it is my responsibility to ensure my passport and visa requirements are met and not the responsibility of Altura Travel Co.

For domestic travel, I understand that government-issued identification is required to board a flight. I further acknowledge that beginning October 1, 2021, I must present identification compliant with the Federal Real ID Act. For more information, I should consult https://www.dhs.gov/real-id.

Each country has its own regulations regarding past criminal offenses. If applicable, I agree to consult with the appropriate government agency regarding entry or exit requirements (http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_4965.html).

I am solely responsible for providing accurate information to Altura Travel Co. including full passport names and numbers, travel dates, and other requested details. I understand that any errors or omissions are my responsibility, and I accept any resulting penalties, fees, delays, or cancellations.

I agree to carefully review all travel documents upon receipt and to contact Altura Travel Co. with any questions. I agree to familiarize myself with and adhere to all supplier terms, especially regarding changes and cancellations.

Altura Travel Co. strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance to protect my investment. I understand that purchasing insurance does not guarantee coverage, and claims are subject to review and approval by the insurance provider. I agree that Altura Travel Co. cannot be held liable for denied claims. Should I choose not to purchase travel insurance, I acknowledge that I assume full responsibility for any resulting losses.

Due to the pandemic, we have dedicated significant time to trips that were ultimately canceled or postponed without compensation. As such, we now charge a nonrefundable planning fees as discussed , payable via Stripe.

This planning fee is not a substitute for meeting trip budget minimums, nor does it allow clients to utilize our services when booking hotels through credit card points, airline miles, or corporate rates.

All hotel bookings must be made through Altura Travel Co.’s preferred suppliers. Clients may not book through platforms such as AMEX, Chase Travel, Capital One, or similar credit card programs.

Planning fees apply on a per trip/per destination basis and do not transfer if the destination changes. In such cases, a new planning fee will be required.
